Tips and pitfalls of using surgical gonio lens

Increasing demands are expected for surgical gonioscopy, because lots of MIGS procedures with ab interno approach utilize gonio lens. Direct gonio prism which has been widely used, needs to tilt the patients’ head or microscope. On the other hand, double mirror gonio lens allows the surgeons to perform MIGS procedures without tilting them. In this video, tips and pitfalls of using surgical gonio lens are presented. What is key is to keep the optimized visualization and never getting lost in the world of prism and mirror.
